I was recommended this restaurant by the place I was staying at, and it was definitely worth the trip to this charming village. The staff gave us a very warm welcome at this traditional village pub with a real fire. The food was of a very high standard, comparable to a restaurant. I highly recommend it to anyone in the area. What sportybirmingham doesn't like about The Royal Oak:
The restaurant was unexpectedly quiet compared to my last visit. It is a pleasant pub with a welcoming owner. They have some newspapers and magazines for guests to read. There is a quiz night on the first Friday of every month at 8pm. They offer a selection of five different ales and two ciders. Unfortunately, they did not have any cobs available this time, possibly due to the quiet atmosphere in the area. View all feedback.
There is a fantastic selection of beers available at this restaurant, with up to 10 different options on tap. The owner is very welcoming and well-informed about the various beers on offer.
We came to this pub over the weekend while staying at the showground in our Motorhome. We stopped by for a few drinks and found the owners to be charming and hospitable. We would definitely recommend this pub, as it is also dog-friendly.

Good stay. Very nice and friendly people. The room was clean. Coffee and tea service in the room. Fresh fruit and toast at breakfast. free wifi, free parking
Parking was a bit tight but once inside the welcome was warm and friendly. The room was comfortable and very clean. Such a shame breakfast was an extra and we forgot to book. Beer was lovely with a wide range to sample.
