We visited The **** Inn on a Saturday afternoon for a drink, it was reasonably priced and set in the lovely village of Brockton.
It 's great to see a pub 'on the mend '! Too many pubs are closing, and 'The **** ' could have been one of them. But no, the community has rallied round and Put The **** Inn back on the map! And deservedly so. It 's not at all far from the main A5 and access from the Motorway system, and so well worth a deviation for the traveller. A good selection of Real Ales, well kept. A well kept and well stocked bar. Clean, bright and comfortable. Chatty and cheerful staff, friendly locals and a warm ambience. The bar has a buzz about it. All we need is food for the hungry traveller, and then it will collect the coveted 5 stars. Keep it up, The **** Inn!
I can't thank the **** Inn enough for their hospitality. We traveled from Kent to watch our beloved Gillingham, and we couldn't have asked for more from a pub. The staff were friendly, cooked us delicious food for free, and provided excellent service. If I lived in this town, I would definitely appreciate this pub. The staff went above and beyond for us, making it one of the best pubs I've visited in my 20 years of traveling with my football team. Your pub is superb, keep up the good work! We look forward to coming back again.
I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. I would definitely return just for the great experience at this place.
My friends and I visited this pub during a short break and had a fantastic experience. The staff and locals were incredibly friendly and welcoming, giving it a typical country pub atmosphere. Since it was a Friday night, they had fish and chips on the menu which we all ordered. The lady who took our order informed us that the fish is fresh on Fridays and she personally prepares the batter. The fish was delicious and light, with no bones, and came with mushy peas and tartar sauce. It was a hit with our group! The bill was very reasonable and at the end of the night, the landlady helped us get home as walking would have taken too long on the steep, unlit roads. I would definitely recommend this pub, especially on a Friday if you enjoy fish dishes.
