The Butchers Arms - Shropshire

This is my second review of Butchers and once again, it surpassed my expectations. The staff was amazing, friendly, and welcoming. The locals quickly engaged my partner and me in conversation. It was absolutely fantastic. However, the real star of the show is the food that comes out of the kitchen. The chef is truly a culinary genius. My partner ordered the 16oz Sirloin steak, again! Take a look at the photos. One sign of a top-notch restaurant is when you see dishes being brought to other tables and immediately feel food envy. I cannot praise this place enough, and giving it a 5-star rating is too low. A memorable moment was when Anthony brought the wine to our table with a straw for my partner, along with a cocktail umbrella. I cannot wait to return to the area and experience the amazing food once again. As they say in Spain, "los cojones de perro" (dog's balls).

This pub is not very welcoming. We tried the food while we were there, but it was not very good. The pub is very outdated and needs refurbishment. The bar staff were a bit rude and the toilets were dirty and smelly. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience. It felt like a rundown pub in the middle of nowhere, with a locals-only vibe. We will not be returning.

We had a fantastic meal at this restaurant, with everyone thoroughly enjoying their dishes and leaving very satisfied. I even took my dessert home because I was so full. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of food we received.

Amazing place! 8 of us and a baby turned up with no booking and we were told there were no tables in the restaurant but we could eat in the bar which we were very grateful for, then they very kindly found us a table in the restaurant! Absolutely amazing food and the prices of the food and drinks were so good! Lovely friendly staff, great play area for the kids, we enjoyed our meal so much, thank you! Would definitely recommend and we will be back even though we live an hour away!!

Everytime we eat at the butchers arms we leave satisfied... The menu has so much to choose from and everything I have tried is lovely and so reasonably priced. The staff are always so polite, especially the owners. I advise the Teriyaki Steak Sizzler, I could eat that every day.
