What BoundlessEnergy doesn't like about Tea On The Square:
On entry one is immediately struck by the painted walls which denote Much Wenlock. We were served very quickly and the carrot and ginger soup was most enjoyable. My friends enjoyed the toasted sandwiches which were served with a small salad and crisps. The only... View all feedback.
We had a lovely lunch here and then later on also a cake. Delicious food and the staff were lovely. Like the warm setting itself too.
We are here on holiday and popped in today for a coffee and cake. The staff were so kind and friendly and the place was cosy and comfortable. It was very busy so it’s obviously a popular spot. Would highly recommend the lemon drizzle too! Yum! Thanks for being so welcoming!
We visited today on our way home through Shropshire . We both had toasted sandwiches. Having read a couple of previous reviews which were rather on the negative side I have to say we would completely disagree. The toasted sandwiches were £8.45 and came with a lovely fresh salad ,homemade coleslaw and crisps. We chose ham, cheese and tomato for our fillings and they certainly don’t scrimp on the fillings. They oozed with cheese and had plenty of ham and tomato. We both have healthy appetites and it was plenty for us. The staff are super friendly and can’t do enough for you and they even made our dog really welcome too. We were too full for cakes but we overheard all the customers in the tea room comment on their beautiful meals, snacks and cakes.if we come to Much Wenlock again we will definitely come back.
An earlier review stated that toasted cheese sandwich was £5.95 not anymore it’s now £8.45 an increase of over 40%. Yes I know times have been difficult in this sector but it’s currently very difficult for people with rising energy costs. I declined to have one and bought a sausage sandwich for £5.50. I think that the owners need to review their prices as I won’t be spending £8.45 for cheese on toast.
Tea and cakes lovely but as we entered about 3,15 a lady sat at a table eating her lunch and said ‘Only drinks and cakes now’ then ignored us. I think, ‘take a seat and we will be with you in a minute’ might have...
