What ShrewsburyChefette dislikes about Rashers Cafe:
I found Rashers pretty easily, located next to Alan Ward. I had a lovely welcome from I think was the owner. I was surprised by how reasonable their menu was, everything from breakfasts, burgers, sandwiches, panini, baked potatoes,as well as chilli cottage pie. I opted for the full breakfast, but not liking beans, eggs or tomato, I usually miss out. This wasn't a problem she worked out instead of the £5.20,she would charge m... View all feedback.
Super food and amazing staff. Low prices and lovely staff. Betty is a diamond, Good portions and good quality. Highly recommended
I called in here yesterday while my car was has work done at ATS. I had a lovely sausage butty with a cup of tea and very reasonable price. I will visit again if I'm in Salop again
Visited before mammoth shopping day. Excellent location with parking, plus indoor/outside seating. Very popular in this area of town. Great menu choices for breakfast and lunch options. Delivery service which is free for orders over £10. Highly recommend the Breakfast Brunch which includes a hot drink. A cup of tea/coffee is only £1.00 in comparison to the 'costly ' coffee shops.
Overall, the restaurant was not impressive. The food was greasy, particularly the sausages which tasted mostly like bread. The toast was not cooked enough and lacked any browning.
I was excited to try this restaurant, which is independent and located in the local industrial/retail area. The staff were friendly and efficient. I ordered the Brunch which included bacon, sausage, egg, beans, chips, bread, and butter. The cafe was not very busy, so I was expecting hot, freshly cooked food. However, everything except the fried egg was lukewarm and the bacon was hard as a rock. It was a disappointment. I may have just been unlucky, but in this industry, every meal needs to be almost perfect to encourage repeat business. I wish the staff well, but I will not be returning.
