Old Castle Pub - Shropshire

Stopped in for lunch during a trip on the Severn Valley Railway, mainly seeking a beer. We were promptly seated and ended up having a meal as well. All three of us were impressed by the high quality of the food. It was also a great value. The pub is well-run and the staff are friendly.

OMG what a great place to eat, the service from the staff was excellent, the food was amazing and so so tasty and great value for money, I can't recommend The Old Castle enough, it's a definite must try and I will be visiting again, thank you for a lovely afternoon x

It may not be much from the outside but the welcome on a frosty Saturday lunch time was friendly and the waiting staff attentive and efficient. We had hot sandwiches, jacket potatoes, and hot drinks, all were of generous portions and good value for money. We will return again and sample their main menu items which looked equally good as they were being brought out to neighbouring tables. It’s popular so make sure you book a table to avoid disappointment.
