While in Shrewsbury with a friend for a day out, we decided to try this restaurant for lunch as the menu looked interesting. We ordered the fish sharing platter, which was delicious and freshly cooked. We couldn't find any faults with it and would definitely dine there again. One suggestion would be to update the photos on the internet to better showcase the restaurant's light and airy atmosphere. View all feedback.
What Nidgehammer doesn't like about Charles Darwin:
Not a great deal to say about this place, we had a couple of beers en route to the football ground but wouldn’t have bothered if we’d known just how far it was. Big and airy, it isn’t a place to bring your other half but serves a purpose for hordes of supporters. View all feedback.
Excellent venue especially on Match days when Town are at home. Very helpful staff, always a warm welcome and a pleasure to visit.
Came here as an away fan watching Exeter play Shrewsbury. Really nice pub with some benches out the front where we all sat. Fantastic touch from the landlady who allowed us all to get some food from the chippy across the road, and eat it at the pub. Cheap beer, and friendly staff
Good pub for Shrewsbury FC games. Friendly staff, good food and selection of beers.
Old hag with grey hair works behind the bar. Rude to customers on several occasions i have been there. Feel sorry for her colleagues having to work with such a sour old lady on a daily basis.
This is a lovely pub. Very friendly and they sell lovely rolls! Really enjoyed our visit before going to the football. Will definitely go again next time
