Visited for lunch sitting outside as weather good. Inside the place looks dark and grubby. Food expensive and not that good better places to eat out in Bridgnorth. View all feedback.
Found this place on booking.com for an overnight stay for a wedding in one of the adjacent villages. We contacted them to see if we could check in slightly earlier as the wedding started during the orginal check in time , response time was quick and there was no issue. There was a bit of a stress during to find a car parking space and a taxi to the wedding venue but they helped us with both finding a nearby car park and also a lift to the venue for a small charge which we were most greatful for. The room was clean , vintage decour and a beautiful view over the river. Besides the couple above us being very loud all night which is out of the hotels control we had a pleasent stay and would return.
Lovely setting by river, nice outside seating. Waited about 30 minutes for food. It looked lovely but unfortunately my fish wasn’t cooked. I was informed all food is temperature probed, I use a probe, it is a guide not an exact measurement. I declined a replacement meal as my husband was eating and I wasn’t prepared to wait again. I accepted a refund and was advised that it was unfortunate I got a bad piece of fish. My husband said his meal was ok, Disappointing all round really. Bridgnorth is the most miserable place I’ve ever visited from the railway staff to the coffee shop in the Main Street to the pub by the river.
The food here is amazing, we had a mixture between us of pizza, chicken goujons, pulled pork burger, scampi and each of us really enjoyed it, the plates were all clear!! The location is perfect, looking over the river and the service is spot on. We just keep wanting to go back. Thank you
If it wasn’t for the great location this place would have long since disappeared. Because of its location they must get enough passing trade to sustain the business, because no one who appreciates good food and hygiene would go twice.
Very limited menu. The food tasted lovely but £6.95 for kids fish and chips is extortionate. The fish wasn’t much bigger than a fish finger. Also the young girl waitress serving in see though shorts no bigger than a pair of knickers isn’t very appropriate.
