If I could give 0 stars! My wife I went to the carvery not long ago possibly 3-6 months after it opened, as we 'd previously been to a 'Toby ' enjoyed...
The service was generally good, and the carvery was very tasty. They also accommodate large bookings.
I would give this restaurant 0 stars if I could! My wife and I recently visited the carvery, not long after it opened, as we had enjoyed a meal at another Toby Carvery in the past. However, this time was a different story. The turkey and beef we ordered were both off, with the beef smelling so bad that it reminded me of dog feces. I had already taken a bite before noticing how bad it was. We complained and were not charged for our drinks (which we had barely touched) or the uneaten food. I ended up getting sick shortly after leaving the restaurant and we have no plans to return.
The Grapes restaurant has permanently closed. It has since been replaced with a Toby Carvery establishment.
