Halfway House Inn - Shrewsbury

This charming old building has so much character and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape, all nestled against a backdrop of forest. We received a warm welcome from the host, who made us feel truly at home and ensured that nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were spotlessly clean and simply furnished, yet still spacious and comfortable. The communal swimming pool was large and included both a shower and a bath. Each room was equipped with tea and coffee-making facilities, and there was also a generous lounge area on the ground floor. Parking was ample and free. We would definitely return—100% probability!

Really nice pub. best atmosphere! Sunday was excellent and management, workers and even the locals are so friendly. we stayed overnight in our camper as it is a pub stop. power, electric, etc. £10.

Was really impressed by this randomly found pub. Really friendly staff and delicious and good value food. Thought the pets corner and kids soft play area was a really nice touch to an otherwise excellent pub. Was also selling some really fine home made cakes!

We have just left after a lovely stay. Food and service was excellent. A true diamond stay in a Inn showing great potential. Proprietor couldn't do enough to help. Thanks for making our stay so lovely.

I visited yesterday for Christmas lunch and had a fantastic meal. There was an abundance of hot food, all expertly prepared by Kevan and Paula. John was outstanding, and Fi was her wonderful self as always. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will definitely be making a reservation for next Christmas. It was truly worth the money.
