Great fish and chips. Typical bar environment. Service not good at all. People nice, but apparently not enough of them. Expect to wait a LONG time for everything. Bartender did not know how to make a Maker’s Mark Manhattan. Then quizzed me on if I wanted a cherry? Did I want sweet vermouth? Etc. yep, I know what a Manhattan is. And it doesn’t include whiskey! Which is what I got. Deviled eggs are meh. Nothing special. Potato and leek soup mediocre. Fries so wilted it wasn’t funny (well, the wonderful fish was set right on top). So. Many. Sauces to go with the fish. They weren’t labeled, so had no idea what they were. All in plastic containers. Apple pie identical to what you get at McDonald’s. So all in all, I’m surprised this place is still in business!

They do a proper Guinness pour, and the real Irish lass bartender is a treat.The fish and chips come with 7 mystery sauces for adding or dipping. One was a tartar sauce, but the other 6 were... Interesting. At least one was an olive paste, a couple tasted like Cajun based sauces, most tasted like they had a middle eastern food influence. Not bad, but different.The single piece of fish was large and thick. Well cooked and flaky all the way through. Good value, given local restaurant prices.

Five tables were occupied and it took 40 minutes to get our order. I asked for sugar for my tea three times. I had to get sugar from a servers station myself. I also had to bring our water cups and my tea to the bar for a refill. I was charged for two iced teas after asking for a refill. The corned beef was dry, cold and served on white toast. Our sliders came out ten minutes apart.
