This very friendly and quirky coffee shop is a must stop on your way to Port Renfrew/Botantical Beach. Had breakfast on way to the beach and stop on our way back from the beach. Muffins are excellent and cinnamon twist was the best I have ever had Second visit we had a pesto twist which was just as good. The sandwiches looked yummy. Staff are very friendly View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Shirley Delicious:
sadly the place was closed despite the google times. Note in front says to check Facebook page for up to date hours of operation. Funny.... as there is no cell service along West Coast Rd. basically from Cowichan Lake to Sooke I had no reception....Hope to taste the delicious goodies next time we are in the area! Will update my rating at a later time View all feedback.
After a long day of exploring beaches and hiking on trails we were hungry and tired My fellow Yelpers were spot on with their reviews of Shirley's.
This place rocks! We pulled up with 30 people and they smiled, welcomed and rocked out 30 orders all while their locals mingled.
We were looking for a nice place to stop for a quick lunch that was local not a chain but that also had affordable, delicious food.
Always a pleasure, the people and the food are outstanding. I recommend this establishment all the time.
You will be welcomed by a very cheerful and friendly guy when you go in. His cheerfulness is very contagious and uplift your morning mood. I tried a couple of baking items, which I personally did not like much (1. ham and cheese scone, but with jalapeño pepper, which I was not a big fan of as a breakfast, 2. Chocolate and almond croissant- I love chocolate but don't like almond paste), but I'm sure many people would enjoy. The other breakfast menu looked good too, and it's only $10!The only disappointment was their coffee. Again, some may like their style, but we found it sour (like Phil and Sebastian, which again, many people like).I may sound negative here, but the atmosphere the the cheerful guy (sorry can't remember his name) creates alone is worth a visit! There is not much choice in Sooke, and I think this is the best place for breakfast.
