Description
Shirley Harvester presents itself as a charming dining option, marked by friendly staff and delicious food, particularly lauded for its rotisserie chicken and ribs. Guests have enjoyed attentive service, with staff members often going above and beyond to ensure satisfaction. However, experiences have been inconsistent; some patrons faced delays or lapses in service, notably during busy periods. The salad bar received mixed reviews too, with suggestions for improvements. While the overall atmosphere is pleasant and family-friendly, the uneven service has left some diners questioning their return. Nonetheless, many express enthusiasm for future visits, captivated by the warm welcome and quality of meals.

Our dining experience at Harvester got off to a rocky start as we stood at the door waiting to be seated for nearly 10 minutes, along with two other tables—one of which had a reservation. This set the tone for the inconsistent service we experienced throughout the night. At times, it was excellent (our first drinks arrived almost immediately), but other times it was lacking (we had to ask twice for salad bowls, and subsequent drink orders took a long time to arrive). As for the food, it was decent, but the price was more than double that of Hillfield Farm, which is just around the corner—and it certainly wasn’t twice as good! Because of this, I don't see us returning anytime soon.
The service was outstanding; the waiter was attentive without being intrusive. However, I was a bit let down by the food.
I had a wonderful meal with friends at this restaurant. We used a Groupon voucher, which made it an excellent value. The waitress was very friendly and attentive, taking care of all our needs and even recommending how to cook our steaks. Overall, we had a delightful experience, especially now that you can book tables in advance, which helps avoid waiting around.
Service was brilliant, waiter was attentive, but not above the tip, but was a little disappointed with eating.
Our meal at harvester did not come to a great start when we were standing at the door to almost 10 minutes with two other tables (we and another one had booked). this put the ton for the patchy service all night sometimes it was very good (our first drinks came almost instantly),) sometimes it was quite useless (we had to ask twice for dishes for our salad, later drinks were very slow, etc). about eating that was okay, but it was more than twice as much as the cost of hillfield farm (just around the corner) and it wasn't twice as good! as a result, I can't see that we're going back soon.
