This was our first time visiting. It had a great atmosphere and the tables were spaced nicely. All the food we ordered was wonderful, not a bad meal or appetizer. It was a little dark though, could have had a little more light over the tables so we could have seen the menu and food better View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Arlington:
Was disappointed by my favorite dish! Grilled swordfish with purple sticky rice... the rice was white and the sauce tasted. The other dishes were better, but still my main course was like that. View all feedback.
A fine restaurant with a small but excellent menu and an interesting rustic decor. We have been in the Arlington in recent years and the food is always exceptional. Our recent visit, however, was destroyed by the unusually long time it took to receive our ducks. And because the decor is almost exclusively hard surfaces, the dining room is unsupportably loud and loudly occupied with even few tables.
The food is delish and the drinks (beers and cocktails are great. Typically, that checks enough boxes to get me back for more. My recent experience here, however, asked me why I wanted to go here. I do not agree that they are a family-friendly place, at least for younger children who are unable to sit still in their place for the entire meal. To make a long story a little short, I will say that my family and my sister family were excited to go here, but we were immediately made to feel how we did it?t belong to our three children who are very pleasant and happy while we are also active and curious. We were encouraged not to sit in the dining area if we could not guarantee that the children stay at the table. So we readily took the unpleasant hint and sat in the bar area at a high summit. Two of the three children sat down at our feet and our server came by and put all their utensils on the table (while they were in the middle of use! while passive-aggressively comment on them on the ground. Although we were admittedly annoyed because there were no one else around us and they played out harmlessly from anyone, we understood something that they could be technically a risk of triggering. So we tried to move outside to make our server happy, just to conduct another passive aggressive and detestable conversation with the manager who informed us that they have no permission to allow food or drinks outside. So, we stayed on our high-top, but bear what seemed to be many stars and anger from the staff. All 4 adults were very uncomfortable, so we decided to finish our outside (after tasty drinks and a little light fare. Typically, I try every restaurant twice, because I think everyone has a right to a free day, but my recent experience made my family and my sister family feel VERY unwelcome and uncomfortable. With so many other facilities on the LBI that are more than willing to make families welcome and supervised, I will certainly bring my business elsewhere.
Solid dinner while on vacation easy reservation and check in, service was super pleasant and fast, food was very good, plenty of kid options and kid friendly while still maintaining a nice restaurant atmosphere. I?m not complaining considering it?s summer and it felt great but kids may need long sleeves for the A/C. We will definitely be back soon!
The food here is very good! The pork chop dish is all the rage. It was extremely tender and cooked to perfection. It comes with this cornbread hash that is really outstanding. The crab cakes are very good as well. Those came with a slaw that did not have a creamy base so it was a little bit different, not my favorite. This is a kid friendly place but the children's menu is very boring. Unfortunately the ambience leaves a little something to be desired but I suspect that it is fine for the locals, as there were no shortage of patrons and they re often booked up. The service was very good too and our waitress was personable and very attentive. I would go here again for a casual early dinner with family or a evening dinner with a spouse or friend, as there is a bar to enjoy after your meal.
The food was just okay. Unfortunately, the Kimchi that came with the short rib was not really fermented, and the Rigatoni was super salty. I was surprised that they don't wear ship bottom Brewery beer as they? re local. Our server, Marjorie was very friendly and I liked that we could pay with the QR code on our check instead of waiting for a card to be exchanged and returned. The bubble wallpaper is very sweet.
