Surf City Restaurant Bar - Ship Bottom

Stay in this hotel for 5 days/4 nights outside the season. During this stay no one came to make the room. The room was very potted and the AC didn't work properly. Couldn't open the windows. Didn't sleep good night.

I was with my family in low season. The layout is somewhat different because it is a converted building (check-in for the hotel is in the back corner of the building and only accessible from the outside), but the room was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. It is just a short walk to the beach and there are a number of shopping and entertainment facilities nearby.

I give Surf City Hotel 4 stars when you compare it to other older hotels that I stayed on n LBI. I could get a last-minute booking for a long weekend in the surf town. The hotel was full on weekends, so the first night I parked on the street, but near so no problems. Then I found a place in her crowd. The check in process was fast and the staff friendly and knowledgeable, and they went to my room, very helpful! The room was small, but clean, fresh and sweet. Rate the refrigerator in the room and the ice machine on the ground floor. The bathroom was bigger than expected and had many towels. The only thing missing in the room was a closet, but there were 5 double hooks on the back of the door. Two clothes hangers were provided, and fortunately I had brought additional clothes hangers to hang all my clothes. The hotel offers beach days. It's a bit loud during the happy hour, but go and enjoy it! Get some appetizers and enjoy the music and cornhole. I didn't see the band that played there at night and never heard a club noise in my room, so I was lucky on site. Although close neighborhoods, most of my time was not spent in the room. Very walk to shops and restaurants. I'm sure you stay back.

We had two great nights. Love the location and the room was great. We're talking about going back. The staff was very friendly and the short walk to the beach is perfect. Love the island and now we have a place to go.

Horrible lunch. NE clam chowder was so salty it was inedible. Steamed clams were tough and had very little broth. Charged 3% for using a credit card. Huh? With all other local options, never go there.
