The Lodge - Shieldsville

I expected everyone to stare when we walked in, but they were actually very welcoming! They offer Bison and Elk Burgers (along with traditional beef and turkey options, of course), so definitely give them a try! The prices are reasonable, too. It's an older establishment with some really interesting bar memorabilia on display. I heard the owner trained with a well-known chef specializing in wild game in Minneapolis. Normally, I tend to prefer unique, artisan options, but surprisingly, the regular hamburger was excellent—much better than I anticipated. Give this place a chance!

I really loved the menu, which features a variety of five salads. There are also great specials and three of our favorite appetizers available. We enjoyed breakfast there early on a Saturday. Our waitress was fantastic! We often find that the prices are very reasonable as well.
