Blue Bottle Coffee Ikebukuro Cafe

This little cafe is a hidden gem in the hustle and bustle of Ikebukuro. Directly adjacent from a small park, the big open windows allow you to enjoy the scenery without the big city feel. There are only 3 tables with two chairs each, but on weekday mornings I've always managed to grab a chair. The cakes are very nice, as is the coffee. They also serve oat milk which is a big plus for me!

I will give it 4/5. You might not be able to find seats but there is a big park just beside so you can enjoy sunshine and the coffee there. Waffles are better than coffee, the must try in Bluebottle

Locating this Blue Bottle was easy despite it being tucked into the heart of Ikebukuro. This location is small and mostly ideal for “take-away,” as there are only three tables for seating. Each table only seats two on semi-high stools. There is one restroom that is for both genders. Service was very warm and quick. 3-5 minutes for our drinks and food, but it was 10am in the morning and there was only two other customers here at this time. The aesthetics of everything is very pleasing and organized. Ordered a Mocha, Gibraltar and a waffle. The Mocha has a nice chocolate undertone and is not overly sweet. The Gibraltar was very balanced but wished it had a stronger coffee/espresso taste. The waffle tasted great, hot and crispy but not too sweet.

The coffee shop is easy to find with few minutes walks from the station. The sunlight makes the coffee shop more stylish and cozy. To choose a single origin bean for coffee is recommended.
