I believe Marker 5 is the top waterfront restaurant in the area. While a couple of places on the western shore come close, Marker 5 truly stands out. It offers exceptional quality, great service, and a unique experience. The smoked dishes are fantastic, especially the wings, which are simply incredible.
The food at Marker 5 is delicious, and the service is excellent. It's also dog-friendly! Our dog made some new friends and had the best Saturday ever. It was a lot of fun watching the drawbridge too.
We dine here weekly and consider ourselves lucky to do so! For an authentic farm-to-table experience, be sure to arrive early and try their most popular dishes. The wood-fired pizza is outstanding and pairs wonderfully with the daily crush. It’s our go-to spot for cocktails or dinner with friends! We truly love this place!
I dined at Marker 5 on a Friday night in mid-May, just as mask mandates were lifted. There was a short wait for a table, but the staff managed it smoothly by texting me when ours was ready. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the staff were both friendly and helpful. The menu offered good options, though it lacked a wide variety of seafood dishes. I enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich, which was smoked on-site, and the fries were perfectly crispy, seasoned with just the right amount of Old Bay to add flavor without overpowering. My wife loved the tuna sandwich. The cocktail selection was impressive, with decent craft beers and an okay wine list—not exceptional, but fitting for a waterside spot. The location truly captures the essence of an Eastern Shore restaurant. The attached photo shows the beautiful sunset we enjoyed while dining at Marker 5.
My experience at Marker 5 was truly relaxing! We sat by the water and ordered the shaved ribeye with seasoned fries. I was there with my daughter and grandkids, and every item we tried from the menu was delicious. The kids enjoyed the strawberry lemon cheesecake and caramel turtle cake, which were both fantastic.
