Remedy Cafe 124th Street

The restaurant lacks the necessary caution regarding allergies. My chai lattes were made with regular milk instead of oat milk, despite my request, which unfortunately made my partner quite ill due to his allergy. Unfortunately, this is the second time this has occurred. While they do offer delicious food and drinks, they really need to enhance their awareness and handling of allergy concerns.

The food and drinks here are amazing, and I absolutely love the chai milkshake. However, I've noticed that the staff at this location often appear a bit grumpy during my visits. It's the same two girls each time, and they tend to seem cranky or dismissive.

I've been to this restaurant multiple times, either to study or to enjoy a drink. They offer a great variety of beverages, and the food is quite tasty. My absolute favorite is the butter chicken wrap! The traditional butter chicken served with naan is delicious as well, though I personally wish it were a bit spicier—just my preference, haha! The iced coconut matcha latte is on the sweeter side but truly delightful. It has a fantastic blend of flavors and is anything but bland for a matcha drink. It's still my top pick every time. The only downside is that it can be a bit pricey, but the portion sizes are reasonable, and the drinks are larger than those from Starbucks. The restaurant also features a spacious interior spread over two floors, with a lovely ambiance and a wide range of snacks and menu items to choose from.

I had a wonderful experience at another Remedy Cafe location in the past, but my visit to the Sherwood location on July 23, 2020, around 5:45 PM, was quite disappointing. The two women at the counter did not seem to know how to provide proper customer service. I ordered three Kashmiri chais, but what I received did not meet my expectations, as shown in the picture below. One of the staff members also had an unwarranted attitude, which further detracted from my experience. Additionally, there was a sign stating that cash wasn't accepted, yet one of the women took a $20 bill from another customer. Is this acceptable practice for your establishment? My girlfriend and I ordered a variety of dishes, and our food was served quickly. I had chai and two samosas, while she opted for a chocolate milkshake and palak paneer. I was genuinely impressed by how delicious everything was! Our meal was exceptional, and we left feeling very satisfied with the service. The staff that day were friendly yet not overly intrusive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my family and friends.
