What R Smith doesn't like about Fin's Select Meats And Seafood:
In the past Fin's was our go to place for seafood. My husband makes an awesome Red Curry Mussel dish!! And we love our oysters, lobster, and crab. However, over the holidays we purchased over $100 of seafood and were so disappointed in the lobster claws (they were dry and had no flavor) and lobster tail wasn't sweet that we didn't open the bag of King Crab we purchased. They get a thumbs up from me. I will be buying all of my Atlantic Salmon from Fins, you simply can not go wrong.Keep up the great guys, you rock!Darren
Made a fantastic seafood risotto tonight with a medley and scallops purchased from Fin's. Thank you for dinner.
It saddens me immensely to write this review because I am a diehard seafood fanatic, but the seafood from this place was beyond disappointing. Mushy, insipid crab claws, flavorless lobster, extremely rubbery fish...for the hefty price we had paid for the order I expected so much more (factoring in adjusting expectations since we're in land locked Edmonton, after all).Years ago they used to provide some decent quality seafood it was never stellar but it was certainly miles ahead of where it is now. I was grateful that they at least offered a gift card to compensate but the value was still nowhere near the astronomical sum paid for subpar seafood that nobody here would even eat.

They aren't the only fresh seafood market in town and have lost a loyal customer. I expected more than this from Fin's.
