Cravin' Catfish - Feedback

Was Angela Hall (The spiritual baddie) at Cravin' Catfish a mag?
The food was decent overall, but the main highlight for me was the fish, which was excellent! Unfortunately, that was about it. The hush puppies and onion rings were also tasty. However, I don’t think it’s worth returning for the $17 price tag. Service was for dine-in, and I spent about $10–20 per person for dinner. View all feedback.
What Gary Boisseau dislikes about Cravin' Catfish:
I used to love this place. Not sure what happened. Everything was either burned beyond recognition, tasteless or both. The desserts were good, though. They have a buffet of hot delicious food which was very reasonable priced. They have plenty room for groups to dine in as well.

I enjoyed a delightful dinner at this restaurant and I must say, everything was top-notch! The food was outstanding, earning a solid 5 out of 5 for its delicious flavors and quality. The service was equally impressive; the staff was attentive and friendly, providing a fantastic dining experience that also deserves a 5. The atmosphere was perfect for an evening meal, creating a welcoming and enjoyable vibe that also rates a 5. Overall, for a price range of $10–20 per person, I thoroughly recommend this spot for a wonderful dinner!
**Restaurant Review: A Mixed Bag of Southern Comfort** Nestled in North Mississippi, this restaurant offers a diverse buffet that promises Southern comfort but delivers a mixed experience. While patrons rave about the fried catfish, hush puppies, and attentive service, others are left disappointed by overcooked shrimp and lukewarm dishes. Allergy awareness is a significant concern, with reports of cross-contamination affecting diners. The atmosphere is inviting, complete with ample parking, and a commitment to community service is noted. However, cleanliness and food availability need improvement. Diners seeking quality Southern fare might consider this place, but proceed with caution. Price points hover around $18 per person.

We found this little gem by accident! The atmosphere was very inviting and the staff were super welcoming. I didn’t know where to start with the buffet and 1 of the ladies stop filling the bar to assist me. The food stayed fresh and hot! The blackberry cobbler was my favorite dessert!!! Wish I could have taken some home! The price for the buffet is very reasonable! We will definitely visit again! Parking: Plenty of parking! Handicap parking right at the door.
The atmosphere was beautiful, and the food was fantastic! The staff were friendly, incredibly attentive, and right on the mark!
I visited this restaurant on September 5, 2024, with my family, and I absolutely cannot recommend it to anyone. I have a seafood allergy, which wasn't initially a problem, but as I started eating my chicken, my throat began to close up, and I struggled to breathe. It turned out that they cooked the chicken in the same grease they used for the fish. What a careless and cheap choice! They clearly did not consider that someone might have allergies. To make matters worse, they wouldn't refund my money. I give this place a BIG THUMBS DOWN.
First, I’m not a big fan of catfish unless I prepare it myself, and my friends mentioned that the fish tasted muddy. As a Californian, I didn’t quite understand that until now. The shrimp was overcooked and had a mushy texture, much like overcooked pasta. It definitely seemed farm-raised, and I found it quite unappetizing. Then, there was the chicken leg, which was the size of a turkey leg, but it wasn’t fully cooked, so I decided to skip that too. The salad bar was disappointing, with a limited selection that consisted mainly of iceberg lettuce. To top it off, the dessert area ran out of spoons, and the lemonade tasted terrible. Shall I go on? Given the amount of revenue this place generates, there shouldn’t be duct tape on the broken glass door, and the ceilings need serious attention. Why are they consistently running out of food? #demeirjonez If you don’t know me by now, you will—I offer honest reviews of all the businesses I visit. Price: $18.99. Kid-friendliness: I came with our church group, which included children.
Room we were in was way to Small and cramped. Food was OK. Lot of fried stuff. No healthy options. Not in a hurry to go back.
