my experience in the joint was great; it would have been perfect if open brother/big did not erroneously follow with an extremely condesctive email inaccurately accuses me not appearing! I enjoy my day and digest my tasty meal together until I had to do with open table. I have the accusation or not the long, Patroning email explain to me why it is wrong not to warn a restaurant when they cancel. I always call or emai... View all feedback.

eating was great, the service was good, the ambiente was missing. the restaurant feels more like a coffee house than a restaurant for a beautiful meal. it is difficult to imagine eating in a place that feels so strong and unpleasant. please change the lighting and consider the installation of stands or something that offers a little more intimacy. the “maintained” tables are too close together. This a a seafood oasis for Chefs, coffee fans cooking enthusiasts. Amazing seafood selection. The limited smoked selection menu dangerously delicious.
This place was amazing. I was able to get a dry aged bento box curated by the restaurant Kawabe from here and it is some of the best sushi I have ever had. The dry aging enhances the flavor of the fish and the flavor combinations were very thoughtful and truly enhanced the experience. They also had a small retail shop and I was able to get some squid ink bread, which I am so excited to try. Can’t wait to go back and try their coffee and other food.
The Joint Seafood was a disappointment not because of their quality, but it was different from my expectations. My expectations: Based on pictures and menus found on Yelp, I came here expecting seafood brunch/lunch along with my coffee. Reality: Coffee shop with a small bakery items and sandwich menu, and a separate fish market to the side. Long story short, based on pictures on Yelp, I was expecting some delicious seafood bites with my coffee, but they stopped kitchen services since Covid. Ended up ordering a coffee because I was tired from my 40 minutes drive to get to this location. Coffee is decent, but again... I would not have driven 40 minutes for it. Hopefully they were resume seafood kitchen service and I can give them another try in the near future.
I'm a local Angelina and I usually don't write reviews, but that was the best seafood I ate in L.A. EVER!
