The Rose Crown - Shepway

We had an excellent lunch at this restaurant. The atmosphere is updated and welcoming, with friendly staff greeting us upon arrival. The menu offers a good selection and our meals were served hot and beautifully presented. I would highly recommend this place and wish the new management all the best in keeping this charming old pub thriving.

I enjoyed a delicious light lunch today from the appetizer menu. The new owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. I can't wait to return again.

We were extremely disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. We had made a reservation for 7:30pm to celebrate our 20th anniversary with a special meal, but the service was terrible. The kitchen closed before we had finished our meal and our plates were not even cleared. The food was very average and overpriced. The Aperol spritz was flat and the beer was not good either. Unfortunately, we would not recommend this restaurant. It is a shame because we are local and wanted to support a local business. It would be better to stay at home or order takeout instead. We were informed that the kitchen closed at 9pm and we were not able to have dessert or coffee. This was a terrible customer service experience. Avoid this restaurant.

So nice to enjoy good quality, good value and good service once more at the Rose Crown in Elham. Excellent Sunday lunch with the family. The new tenants deserve our full support. Try it and see!
