I use this Chinese take for years, always clean, they prepare their meal fresh when they get the order. they rarely place their prices, they do not fill the meals with cheap filling, i.e. large paprika tweepers. delicate prices with fast service. View all feedback.
What john Chapman doesn't like about Taste Of China:
I have been eating Chinese food since late 50s mainly in London's East India dock road when Chinese food was mainly chicken chow mein and noodle dishes the chow mein in this takeaway was inedible and no way the chow mein that I have eaten for years very thin noodles and tasteless sorry but not good Original Chinese food I threw it away wasted £20.00 will not go back. We adore this takeout spot. The dishes are consistently fresh and of top-notch quality. The king prawns and sesame prawn toasts are particularly outstanding. This is definitely one of the best takeout options available!
This was my first time ordering from this restaurant. I am very particular about Chinese food, as I was spoiled by living in London. However, I was very impressed with my order. The duck was perfectly cooked and already shredded, which was a bonus. The food was hot and not greasy, and the spring rolls were delicious and also not greasy. The sweet young lady who took my order was very friendly. I am very satisfied with my experience and will definitely order from here again.
Fantastic Chinese take away. It’s become our go to. Very efficient and friendly too. We love this place.
Consistently great food always hot when i get home with it nice friendly staff good delivery times if you order for delivery.
I have visited this restaurant multiple times and have found the staff to be very pleasant, although at times difficult to understand. They often provide a complimentary 1-liter bottle of Coke and Prawn crackers with orders over £35, and offer free delivery within a certain distance. The overall quality of the food is good compared to other Chinese fast food establishments. During my last visit, I ordered Sweet and Sour chicken balls (deep-fried and delicious, with chunky chicken and crispy batter), special fried rice (well-cooked and flavorful), mushroom fried rice (also very tasty), beef in black bean sauce (thick and with strangely curly pieces of beef), chicken satay (perfectly cooked and flavorful), chicken chow mein, and cashew chicken. However, I found the texture of the chicken in the dishes (aside from the chicken balls) to be very unusual - extremely soft and not like typical chicken, making it unappetizing for me. The beef was also peculiar, with curly strips and tough to chew. Because of these issues, I did not finish the rest of the food containing the strange meat textures. Based on this, I won't be returning to this restaurant.
