Halliford Mere Lakes - Shepperton

I have caught several fish here, and the surroundings are beautiful. The owner is also fantastic—very friendly, and his advice always leads to a successful day of fishing. The fishing is spread over four lakes, allowing for free movement when fly fishing, so even when it's relatively busy, you still have plenty of privacy and solitude.

How have we never discovered this place before? The location is absolutely stunning, the staff is delightful, and the food is wonderful. We pre-ordered a lobster thermidor as a special treat for my son to celebrate his achievement, and after some eager anticipation, he confirmed it was delicious! We also enjoyed large prawns and a dressed crab, along with some non-seafood dishes for my husband, who isn't a fan of fish. We had a fantastic evening and can't wait to return!

We held our wedding reception at Halliford Mere, and it was absolutely perfect! The food was incredible, thanks to Franco, and Bill and Lynn did a fantastic job decorating the restaurant just as I envisioned. I couldn't be happier and can't recommend this place enough! Thank you so much! It was truly a pleasure, and we will definitely be back for dinner! xx

We had an intimate high-time reception yesterday. the location and the ambiente were perfect. great view of the lakes and good food. the service was perfect in the Kovid measures. bill and his team did everything to make our day special. everything was perfect. many thanks to halliford mere lakes.

Lovely venue for local summer gatherings. Anytime if the weather is ok. Cab be indoors. Have done one wedding and a funeral here. Now arranging our 50th wedding anniversary. Good fishing in the lakes and relaxed atmosphere with lots of room inside and out for events depending on the weather, up to 80 people or so indoors. We now hope it will be good for us. No venue charge, profit comes from food and drink so there is minimum number.
