Contribute FeedbackThe Bull restaurant received a mix of reviews from customers. Some felt disappointed with slow service, small portion sizes, uncomfortable chairs, and high prices. However, others were impressed with the quality of the food, particularly the lamb dish, and praised the friendly and helpful staff, especially waitress Meganne. The renovated environment was also appreciated, with many customers mentioning their intention to return to enjoy the improved dining experience. Despite some shortcomings, overall, The Bull seems to be a restaurant worth trying out for a pleasant meal.
Food was excellent and the waitress Meganne was very helpful to go through the menu advice on the GF options and go to the kitchen to find out if she was unsure. Would definitely go back.
The food was fantastic and our waitress, Meganne, was very helpful in guiding us through the menu and recommending gluten-free options. She even went the extra mile by checking with the kitchen when needed. We would definitely return to this restaurant.
Great location, this pub is part of a traditional inns chainYou cant book ahead, but you can usually get a table within 15 mins.
The staff rushed from their feet, so the service was slow; I like a rest between the courses, but that was exaggerated. The amount of food was bad, but very expensive for what was served. I was hungry. I refused to have the desert at over 5 pounds just to feel full. Chairs uneasy to sit for the duration of the meal. Altogether a disappointment and a farewell to my husband's birthday
Visited at lunchtime on a Thursday and it was quite quiet, hence the mark for ambience. I can imagine at night it has more of an atmosphere. Price is more than normal pub grub, but the food was so much nicer than the usual pub fayre. Service was very good and the staff friendly. Nice place, would recommend. Would I go back. Definitely!!
