Sunset Beach - Shelter Island Heights

This is a great restaurant, but my experience was marred by the disappearance of my credit card. It’s also quite difficult to get in touch with someone over the phone or to receive a response via email. If a green Mastercard ending in 6026 magically shows up, please feel free to reach out to me.

Sadly, another family had to leave without their meal because the management was unable to provide service. The staff completely ignored the needs of the other families as well. We asked for a discount after waiting for a total of 3.5 hours, and after some back and forth, we realized they didn’t even have our correct bill. Instead, they handed us random bills from other tables, and we finally had to settle on something that was less than what we actually owed. The place itself has great ambiance, but the service deserves a constant F. It’s such a shame.

Rating: 5 stars for the stunning views and breathtaking sunsets! Watching the seaplanes is an exciting experience. However, I have to give it 1 star for the overpriced drinks at $23 each in the bar. Additionally, the barmaid, Sasha, was unfriendly and lacked kindness, which really dampened the overall bar experience. On the bright side, the other bar offerings were lovely.

Easy to see a place. Overpriced food and drinks. Eating is not bad, just too expensive. In addition to the nightlife and the human scene there are better opportunities. Good first date night if you are young and want to impress your date, as the parking lot is often filled with expensive European sports and luxury cards on weekends.

Gorgeous views and a fab lido, but the restaurant service is terrible. $600 dinner for four with a condescending server and only one round of drinks because after food was dropped off we never saw him again until we had to chase down the check ????? if they?re going to charge that much, they should really take better care of their guests. so much potential though!
