Good food, very friendly welcome, great for families, and all occasions. Beautiful view of sea. if you play golf it has a great golf course.

The family tried this place for an 80th Birthday celebration, only to find we were in the same room as a 21st, 70th, and two indeterminate birthday groups as well. The staff did their best to keep it all going, but managed to lose 2 meals out of a group of 16. The food was quite good by club standards although hardly gourmet, and the guest of honour declared it a wonderful nigh, so I guess not all was lost.Definitely a one off for me.

While this restaurant within the Golf Club is reasonably expensive, the meal was excellent. I would recommend you try this out for yourself. The meal I had which was sirloin steak was cooked to perfection BUT the surf and turf I added was a let down as there were 2 very small prawns (frozen) and 1 scallop which accompanied the meal . . . . that was disappointing BUT NO complaints with the steak and meal overall and reasonable value at $32 albeit some would think this a little expensive. Service was efficient and staff were very polite. Atmosphere was nice, with good lighting and meals were not nice and hot which is what I like (nothing worse than having to send it back because it's cold) . . . . . . . I would recommend this as a good eatery. Give it a try.

I went here for lunch with a mate and was surprised how good the food was how well they managed 2 busloads of senior citizens, a Christmas in July Function in the Function Room, the regular lunch crowd of lady golfers coming in off the greens and the off the street people like us.The hot and cold Seafood platter for 2 was absolutely delicious with 8 of the biggest and freshest prawns I have ever seen being just 1 part of it, Very filling! They also offer a platter for 1 which is unusual but pleasing to see.

So recently Shelly beach golf club took over the catering operation of their club. We eat at the club pretty much on a weekly basis as we live down the road.. there is a noticeable difference to the food and the whole catering operation since the take over.. We have sampled a few different dishes like the brisket burger, beef cheek bites, salt and pepper squid, potato skins topped with pulled pork and mozzarella and schnitzels etc.. all these dishes have certainly been tasty enough and everything seems to be made on the premises now. I would certainly recommend trying the food at this establishment if in the area.
