Broulim's - Shelley

Fresh made doughnuts, fritters, cookies, and cakes. Prices are higher than other grocery stores, but they have a great selection, and they sometimes come from local farmers. They carry Red Button ice cream.

Broulim's is a great grocery store, I've been to several of their locations and they are consistently fine. I would like to live near to one and I would go there all the time but I don't. At Christmas time, Mrs. Broulim comes around and brings her organ and plays Christmas songs which I think is great. Joe Albertson doesn't do that.

This place is overpriced and has earned the nickname "Broulims Unfresh Foods." I've encountered numerous problems with their produce and the deli items are inconsistent. I once unknowingly bought a moldy pie. They take out the moldy berries but still sell the partially empty containers. Their employment practices are terrible; I constantly hear employees voicing their complaints. It seems they nitpick at issues just to have a reason to fire staff without having to pay unemployment when they no longer need them. I only shopped here for convenience, but I'm switching to WinCo to save a lot of money.

I often visit this restaurant, but unfortunately, they were out of brisket during my last visit.
