Shell Lake Lunchbox
Shell Lake Lunchbox
Description
This cozy, owner-run diner in Shell Lake serves satisfying breakfast and lunch with a nostalgic, picture- and lunchbox-filled interior and reasonable prices. Patrons praise hearty classics — chili, omelets and burgers — friendly staff, and a lively, clean atmosphere that feels like a small-town hangout. Some guests noted inconsistency in service (occasionally curt servers and missing takeout utensils) and that breakfast ends at noon despite a diner schedule, so plan visits early. Convenient street parking and a warm, quirky vibe keep locals returning.

The wait staff was crabby. The food was to go and they put no utensils, napkins, or condiments in the bag. It certainly wasn’t a great experience all the way around. We won’t be returning. If you are into eating at small town diners, give this one a try. The service was perfect(and I used to be a waitress, so I am picky on service). The food and drink prices were low. The quality of the chili and omelet was solid. All the food served was piping hot. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
This is a cozy café that serves breakfast and lunch. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. The atmosphere is lively and cheerful, showcasing 248 lunch boxes on display. I particularly enjoyed the Curious George lunch boxes. Although the bathroom is small, it was kept clean. There is convenient parking right in front.
