The food here is just incredible. The best omelets anywhere. I rarely get to come here because they're only open Monday thru Friday, but when I do get a day off, I'll be here for breakfast or lunch. Everything here is the best. If you want southern cooking, this is the place. View all feedback.
What Doug Odell doesn't like about Southern Fare:
Frozen chicken fried steak, potatoes, and the gravy was bland as hell. I knew better and should of asked if it was frozen but thought being in the south they'd know better ? I have know idea how some of these reviews raved about this spot ? They must have no taste buds or friends of owner. Waitress was great ! View all feedback.

Wonderful little restaurant with good food and great service!
Good food, left full and satisfied. My only complaint is waitress never did refill my drink
Family of 5, was in and out within a half hour. We all had chicken fried chicken or chicken fried steak. Was delicious. Service was fast and excellent.
I finally made it by for lunch. What a disappointing experience. The fish was grainy with a strange texture and no flavor. The breading was tough and soaked with grease, which tells me the grease wasn’t hot enough when it was fried. I shouldn’t have ordered it after asking three times what kind of fish it was, was told they were out of catfish, and that this fish was a good substitute. I’m sitting here looking at my second piece of fish, and I just cannot choke it down. I only ate the first one because I was starving. I still don’t know what kind of fish I tried to eat. The fried green tomatoes were tasteless. The mixed beans were passable. But, that cornbread/hoecake was the worst I’ve ever had. Whomever fried it didn’t have their grease hot enough, so it soaked the grease up like a sponge. It was dripping on the paper, which was also soaked with grease. I really wanted to have a good local Southern cooking go-to, but sadly this isn’t it.
