La Poblanita Taqueria - Shelbyville

Remember as a truly authentic Mexican restaurant. We went through at 9:30 in the night... just before closing... so it was pretty empty when we arrived, but the food was still good and cheap. Several transport orders were picked up while we were there, although it looked closed for the evening. Nothing beautiful here, just a simple, somewhat simple diner atmosphere... Go to dinner, not to the atmosphere.

This is an excellent place to eat. I'm in the area for work and this place reminds me of some local places back home in Texas. You have a salsa bar and the customer service is nice. My wife and children loved it so that we will come back in the near future.

Tacos were good, but small. I ordered 3 tacos highest. And they were $3 per piece. Didnt wait long until the order is ready. I ordered chickens, steak and beef. You also have Chorizo taco, which I did not try. The ground beef had a really good taste and was the best by far. The chicken was revealed in small small pieces that were dry and somehow hard, as if it were old or sitting around. All articles were written in Spanish with English translation below. Cashier had to describe some of the articles for me, which was very helpful. All in all, I'd go back. I even asked her how to pronounce the name of her restaurant. My traveler at Ford KTP told me about the restaurant, but he didn't know the address or the name...lol, he said just looking for Long John Silvers and you'll see it right next door. The Speedway is directly opposite.

Killer Taco Salat! Excellent quality food, very authentic mexican. Friendly staff and low prices. Very casual seating.

Service is good and efficient. Food has great taste. I love their tacos!!
