This was a pleasant surprise. The meals were too class, eye fillet and seafood feast in our case. Very well presented. Staff are friendly and helpful. Prices are what you would expect for this quality and the wine list is very reasonable. Decor is basic with interesting local photo pics on the wall. The SHEARWATER/Hawley/Port Sorell area has been crying out for a decent restaurant for years and this one deserves supp... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Midds Bluewater Restaurant:
The Locals seem to fill this place up but we thought it very over priced and really the skinniest fish we had ever eaten. The chips were we think cooked in old oil or they are precooked and then recooked. many places do do this to make the chips crispy or to also help during rush periods. For my family it was very disappointing and we have not gone back. Yes we are now locals. View all feedback.

We went in here as I used to know it as rubicon cafe years ago, tried to order something gluten free, was not given more then two options, all was well over priced. decor was meh, and bluewater makes it sound like it has seafood, but there was literally no seafood on the menu.
Fantastic meals!! meal looked great and tasted even better. highly recommended. will go back again. staff are very helpful and friendly
Despite its high prices (main dishes costing $35), this restaurant is very simply decorated with no scenic views. The appetizers and main dishes were tasty (especially the reheated pudding with custard), but I believe that without the proper decor to enhance the dining experience, it came off as too expensive. I would rate it 3.5 stars if possible.
I saw the sign for 'Midds Bluewater' near the roundabout while we were checking out a car for sale in Port Sorrel on Sunday. We eventually located it next to the Police Station, and although 'Midds' looked closed, it was actually open. There was plenty of parking available. We enjoyed delicious, fresh, and flavorful food that was great value for money. The award-winning steak sandwich was particularly impressive and I highly recommend it. The atmosphere was nice, with a beachy vibe and a very clean environment. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I heard that there is a sunny courtyard at the back with tables and chairs, which would have been perfect to enjoy on a fabulous day like that. The freshness of the food at 'Midds' really stood out to me, and the salad dressing was exceptional. I just wish they offered gluten-free options on the menu. This is a great spot for those looking for a fresh, tasty meal in a refined setting. We plan on making a trip from Devonport to try out their evening menu in the future, but for now, I have to continue watching Bathurst 1000.
