Braum's Ice Cream Dairy Store - Shawnee

Stay away from the ice!!! The good can't be good. But definitely Sunday. With whip cream, cherry, nuts and caramel.

We visited the restaurant the day after my father's funeral. It was my mother, my two sisters, my wife and I, along with my daughter, two nephews, and three nieces. We stopped there before heading home. Every dish we ordered was delicious, and everything was served as requested. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was courteous. I noticed the service was particularly friendly, even though the staff was unaware of our situation. This warm atmosphere allowed us to enjoy each other's company and have conversations before we went our separate ways.

The bathrooms were extremely dirty, from outside the toilet doors all the way in. The lights in the dining area were covered in bugs, and the ventilation openings were also grimy. They might benefit from closing for a day or two to perform a thorough cleaning. The seats weren't clean, and while the tables were moderately tidy, they could easily maintain better hygiene. I really love Braum's; I visited three times this week because I was away from home. However, this location was one of the worst I’ve encountered. I noticed several employees working behind the food counter, so I don't think they can blame the mess on a lack of staff. The food was good as always. I had the Aloha grilled chicken burger during my first visit and the strawberry poppy salad with grilled chicken on my second visit. I ordered a cherry drink both times and only had ice on my third visit. Overall, Braum's is a great regional chain and a local favorite—definitely worth a visit if you get the chance!

The burger was good, and so was the jelly bean. I stumbled upon this place and couldn't resist stopping in. I love both of the main items they offer, haha! They didn't disappoint. While the burger might not be in my top ten, it was definitely a solid choice. It had great flavor and wasn’t dry at all. I ordered the bacon double, which was probably the best option I could have chosen. The ice cream was excellent too—not like anything I've had before. It was creamy and smooth. I'd definitely come back if I get the chance!
