Contribute Feedback What Yasmine Heathcote doesn't like about Cherckers Cafe:
We had hamburgers, so the food was ok. It's hard to ruin a hamburger. However, on closer inspection after we placed our order, the table was dirty, the napkin dispenser was covered with a layer of dust and the window sills and windows needed a...good scrub. Our server was very pleasant, but I'd give this place a miss. Go around the corner to JB's. View all feedback.
Excellent Canadian and Chinese dishes. Good service and friendly staff.
Always excellent food and Joy is very friendly and accommodating. Try her Asian food
They have great service and there food is awsome and I try to go there once a week and throw this time I try to order to go
Motel hostess recommended this as a regular eatery. Locals were there. The food was adequate, but not exceptional. I had Monty Cristo sandwich...where was the powdered sugar, where was the jelly? The sandwich was actually okay, but lacked what made a Monty Cristo click. My wife said the kitchen didn't look clean. There is only one lady running the place and that might explain it. I might try something different in the future.
We stopped here on our way out of town after a small family gathering. This was like the cafes you used to see way back when. The tables and chairs are probably as old as the building, and the pictures and posters on the walls also dated. But there is nothing dated about their food or their service. The owners/cooks take your order while cheerfully telling you about the history of the building and of their long ownership in the business. They are very welcoming hosts and it makes you realize the kind of service we lack in many big-city establishments. My husband had the burger which rivaled any gourmet burger you would find anywhere. My sister and I ordered a few items off the Chinese food section and they came fresh, steaming, and delicious. An unexpected surprise in a small town.
