What Stacey Nutz dislikes about Umami Curry:
The food, drinks, atmosphere, and service at this restaurant were beyond amazing! Our server was super nice and had a great conversation with us throughout the meal. Both dishes were packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. Next time we're on thispart of town we'll definitely have to come back and try something else from Umami Curry again! The Naruto wall art was alsosuper fun to see! View all feedback.

Very good food the flavors were spot on...I had the Udon Curry which was phenomenal.. the noodles were perfect. The meat pulled apart and captured the flavor of the broth. I am a big eater and the portion size wad a bit smaller than I am used to. Just a touch. I could have done with another appetizer. With that said it's no one's fault I can eat three peoples worth of food! Overall great vibe, and good experience. Staff wad friendly too. Fast. On top of it.
Amazing atmosphere with incredible service. Some of the best ramen I’ve ever had! The tonkotsu is a must try!
LOVE this restaurant! Their food definitely fits the definition of “umami” Super friendly staff, clean and recommend here for curry, ramen and more! Favorite items are the Hamburg Sando and Curry Tonk Ramen :
I’ve been coming here for months, usually weekly and they know what I want as soon as I walk in the door. Having lived in Japan and all over Asia, you won’t find anywhere else around that’s this close to authentic! 100% recommend to anyone looking for good Ramen!

SO GOOD!! Curry is one of my husband and mines favorite meals, so we were excited to try Umami! He tried the pork ramen, and I did the BYOB with the fried squid, both were excellent!! The meat in his ramen melted in your mouth, and the broth alone had somuch flavor, and my curry was delightfully spicy and every ingredient tasted amazing on their own and together!! We then sharedthe mile crepe, which was also great! Gently sweet, and a nice light flavor. You'll be leaving comfortably full! The restaurantitself is a very cozy vibe, and our waitress was a sweetheart, very kind and happy to help us understand the menu if we hadquestions! Food came out in great time, more than fair prices for the portion size and quality, 14/10, instantly adding Umami toour regular restaurant rotation!??

The Hamburg Sando was a delightful surprise, featuring a juicy hamburger patty generously coated in a BBQ-style sauce. The bun was wonderfully soft, reminiscent of Hawaiian rolls, though I can’t confirm if that’s what they used. However, I did find the sandos to be on the smaller side, and they didn’t come with any sides. The beef curry was a highlight, boasting exceptionally tender brisket that was just as tasty as the pork belly. The curry also included some enjoyable sides; the potatoes mixed in were a pleasant surprise, and the blackened broccoli was so delicious that I couldn’t resist ordering three more pieces for just $1.25. The portion sizes leaned more toward Japanese dining than American, so it might be a good idea to order multiple items from the menu. Personally, I would have been happy with just the curry, but I found that I really needed the bao to feel satisfied. My husband paired a bao and a sando with his curry. We left feeling pleasantly full, not overly stuffed, which is usually what we aim for. I truly appreciate having a spot like this where I can sample a variety of dishes!
I used to think my favorite curry restaurant was in Connecticut, but wow! I had never experienced Japanese curry until I visited Umani, and now I’m completely hooked. This restaurant has quickly become my go-to for curry, and I really hope more people have the opportunity to try it. The soup and other dishes are excellent too, but the beef curry is absolutely exceptional. It's a cozy little spot, but that's how all great things start. You definitely have to check it out!
