The person who took our reservation was quite... read more We made a reservation to celebrate my mother's 95th birthday, but our experience was disappointing from the start. The person who took our reservation was quite rude, questioning if I was certain about the number of guests and whether there were any children in our party. He insisted that we arrive early since we were occupying a prime table. If it hadn’t been my mother’s choice to dine there, I would have had some strong words for him. Just two days before our celebration, we received a call informing us that they had forgotten about a reservation for 75 guests and that we were being bumped. The owner apologized, claiming it was an oversight, but then offered us a new slot at 5:00 PM, with the stipulation that we had to leave by 7:00 PM. Such behavior from the owner, who seemed full of himself, is simply unacceptable. I truly don’t believe it’s worth the hassle.

We read the website before coming I highly recommend doing this so that you know what to expect. Easy to book by phone. The wine, food and service were all fantastic. The owner, Jerry, welcomed us to our table and took the time to explain all the menu options. As we are Asian and not very familiar with Italian cuisine, his recommendations were incredibly helpful. The Linguine with Fresh Clams in Red Sauce was a standout dish, featuring genuinely fresh clams. Many Italian restaurants have disappointed us in the past, but La Cena Ristorante has become our favorite for Italian cuisine. As the owner of Kim's Korean BBQ, I truly appreciated the experience of dining out and gaining insights from another restaurant owner. We would like to extend our gratitude to our friend Bill for the fantastic food and a wonderful evening.

Just be aware that this isn't a place for a quick meal, so don't come if you're in a hurry! Some of the pasta is made in-house, and everything is prepared to order, which means it takes some time. It's the perfect spot to relax and savor wine and delicious dishes. I had the escargot and the bolognese, both of which were amazing, and our waiter was attentive and took excellent care of us. I will definitely be back soon!
