Gene's Seafood - Sharpes

Got a combo seafood lunch to go and should have checked it before leaving the parking lot. The fried shrimp were scrawny and dry tasted like left over from the night before; oysters were crisp with no taste breading was like nothing I have ever seen; full of black pepper and breaking apart again, last night's meal. Grits had no salt and not even hot enough to melt the cheese that was grated on top. Hush puppies dry and cold. Never go to this place at their opening time better yet, don't go at all. Wasted my money but never again!

Got the 20pc shrimp broiled with baked potato and creamed peas...yum yum

It wasn't great. The fish was flavorless, The oysters were terrible and the scallops were bad too.

Was hoping for same good quality as old location in Arlington. Food was cold, tasted as if it was cooked last night and reheated today. Cheese grits were cold grits with a little geated cheese on top. Green beans had large chunks of onion in them. Oysters were sour tasting. The stuffed crab was the only thing I enjoyed. To top it off, almost fell on slippery floor. Won't eat there again. Spent $40, and very disappointed.

Good food and service but it was warm and muggy. Kinda hard to enjoy your food when your sweating. This place used to be the best but St John's has the title now, JMHO.
