A truely authentic shawarma place! Loved the food which was spiced, and cooked right. The sandwiches came with a generous side of freshly cut vegteables and X-tra toom (garlic sauce) on the side. If you want to enjoy a traditional sahwarma, which is the menu item that I tried, you should give this place a shot, you will get hooked, like I did! 2023 visit update I felt like this place needs to keep up with the service... The food was decent, but what I ordered wasn't exactly what I received. Three items from the veggie platter were missing, and instead, they added beets, which I dislike immensely. This was a significant part of the meal for me. Additionally, when I went to pick up my order, I saw a customer double dipping in the buffet-style offerings. View all feedback.

When the owner is in the restaurant you get great service. when Employees there by themselves you get the worst customer service ever ???
This is the best place for authentic Syrian and Lebanese cuisine. The food is fresh, flavorful, and made to deliver an authentic experience. The Chicken Shawarma with Saj bread, Grape Leaves, and hummus are simply the best in Jacksonville. If you're in the mood for Mediterranean food packed with flavor, you should definitely check out this restaurant. The owners are very friendly and enjoyable to chat with. Don’t forget to try the buffet on the weekends. I highly recommend Damascus Kitchen!
I must say, this place offers the best Shawarma, Falafel, Baba Ghanouj, and sweets (Golash)!
