We absolutely loved this place! The service was amazing with our server being sweet, generous, and incredibly efficient. To say that portions are HUGE would be an understatement. Our double burgers and fries really hit the spot after a long afternoon of driving. It has been quite awhile since we've had such a delicious burger of this size and quality!Everything we tried was fresh and expertly cooked to perfection and... View all feedback.
What Evy K doesn't like about A's Place:
I don't know if the cook is different than the one other reviews complimented but our breakfast was very poorly cooked overcooked. The toast was inedible and more like a crusty crouton. Same with the breakfast potatoes. The server was wonderful. It was not a surprise that we were the only customers at 8:15 am. No locals usually means not worth a stop. View all feedback.
I stopped by on a Sunday just before noon. First, I was surprised it was open on a Sunday so that was a plus. This is a mix of Mexican and American food. I had the carne asada street tacos and they were good, the rice was really good. Staff was friendly, I would definitely stop again.
This place is such a great spot! While making a long trek from Southern California to Minnesota I came through Sharon Springs. I saw Stephen's had some nice reviews on Yelp and I love eating at local restaurants, so I pulled off. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the staff and owners treated me like family. It was fun to chat with them and detach a bit from my drive. The food was delicious. But what I appreciated the most was the kindness of the family and feeling like I was at home!
Honest good food. It is not fancy but the food is well prepared. The chili cheese fries are great. I would stop here again!!
Oh my goodness! There is not much around here--you can drive over an hour and not see a restaurant--and that is what makes it all the more surprising that Stephens Restaurant is very, very good. The hamburger was great (comes with fries, tots, or homemade chips. The deep-fried burrito at the next table looked good enough to steal. The daily special was pork enchilada with red chili. Service was quick and kindly. Really, what more could you ask for in even the finest establishment?
After spending hours traveling on country roads and highways, weaving through small towns, I stumbled upon this charming oasis in the midst of corn and wheat fields—the first time I’ve visited Sharon Springs. Stephan's is a must-visit spot, whether you're in the mood for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or dessert! The homemade pies are a delightful treat after a long drive, and the chicken-fried chicken is hearty and bursting with flavor! On this visit, I tried the steak fingers; they may not look impressive, but they taste fantastic! This place isn’t fancy, but the staff is friendly, the food is good, and the establishment is clean. It has been a beloved fixture for 40 years, and I hope it continues for many more! I know I’ll be stopping by again on my next cross-country trip!
