Lukers - Shannonbridge
Lukers
Description
Pásate a saludarnos, ¡no te defraudará!

While this is a gorgeous location on the river and the food is delish, the owner/waitstaff actually tried to scam us at least three times. Over ONE lunch First of all, they overcharged 9 euro because he charged full price for the chowder when the menu clearly states chowder is only 3 euro if you order a meal and have it as an add on I had to chase him down and show him menu to prove my point as he kept saying I was wrong. But the menu clearly states chowder is only 3 euro. With much reluctance he hands me 6 euros But, then, another issue happened where I went to pay my bill, and he charged me for my meal, I paid it. Then he says you didn’t pay for your husband. I said I will pay for his 6 euro meal. I later get on my computer and see he charged me for my meal and then charged me for husbands meal and my meal, without crediting the first transaction I call them immediately. He says I understand what happened and will fix it. Nothing happens. I call again, a week later, a woman tells me she heard the whole conversation and knows exactly what happened, apologizes and will make sure credit happens Two weeks later, nothing is fixed. I am forced to call my bank which issues me my credit immediately It felt really creepy, especially since he acted like he didn’t even know what was on his own menu Shame on them Please check your transaction
We had a fabulous evening and night in Lukers. They owner and staff couldn’t do enough for us! Karaoke, DJ, buffet evening meal for a large group. Amazing and highly recommended
Decided to stop here on way home from a family occasion in Galway over the weekend to break up the journey for my nieces nephew , had heard great stuff about the spot so didn't think twice about the stop ... disheartened really , we didn't get a great welcome , not sure if it was because we weren't getting food or if it was because of the 5 children ages ranging 3 to 12 who I have to say were very well behaved , didn't leave their seats or utter a word , didn't even startle when Ireland were winning in the Rugby ... the welcome from the bar staff was lovely but as soon as I presume was their supervisor or owner noticed us we were told we could only have the table for an hour didn't intend spending a full hour there , was just a quick stop ... he obviously didn't notice enough to see that I was with the family I overheard him uttering some distasteful words to a member of staff , all she could do was smile , very disappointed , as I said , I'd heard great things about here , would love to have returned some day during Summer for food but this guys manner has really turned me off , staff were lovely polite surprisingly as their supervisor was rude , not a great lead to follow , Lukers Bar certainly did not live up to my expectation .
The service was excellent, the staff was very pleasant, the food was delicious, and the view was wonderful. I highly recommend it!
