Le Relais Champenois - Sézanne

We went to lunch while touring Champagne. We were hungry and went in the first restaurant we saw in Sézanne without checking reviews. We had a delighful lunch and the service was very friendly and very efficient. Three of us had the Parmentier …. it was very tasty, serve with a delicious sauce. Another friend had the fish and this was also lovely. The 5th one had the sweetbreads and she said that they were a bit rich but delicious.we all had the 3 course menu and everything was delicious.

Stayed one night here. Had a very warm welcome from the manager who also turned out to be the chef. Our room was very clean and had air conditioning. This was great as the temperature was 40 degrees outside. Some rooms do not have air conditioning! We had a first class meal in the hotel restaurant where service was very efficient. We noticed that many of the locals chose to dine in the restaurant. Usual continental breakfast was served. All staff were friendly and courteous. A good choice for us.

Another spur of the moment booking and a lucky choice, our room was on ground floor , spotlessly clean and comfortable, car parking and short walk into centre, we chose to eat in the hotel restaurant and couldn't fault it. My only complaint is the small bar area feels like someone's front room, would have been nice to sit and have a few beers after a long day Will certainly use it again if we are in the area

We recently bought a house in a tiny village outside Sézanne and have been checking out places to eat. So far le Relais has not disappointed and is our favourite place so far. The staff is welcoming, efficient and friendly; the food is not elegant but it's very nice and good value. And the house dessert is fantastic! So is the crème brulée....

Very average, clean room, staff ok but food poor! Reheated classic dishes, quite expensive for its location
