Unlike my family I haven’t had a lot of experience with Indian food and don’t tolerate hot spices, so I was a bit apprehensive when we went there to celebrate my Grandson’s birthday. I was pleasantly surprised by the way they managed to cater to everyone’s taste. The quality of the food and the personal service were exceptional. We started with Onion Bhaji, which were really tasty little fritters. I had Malai Kofta.... View all feedback.
What Roel Friesen doesn't like about Baba's Kitchen:
The home made samosas are brilliant, one of the best I've had. Unfortunately the main sauce was very runny and not a huge amount of meat in the container. Rice was good and the naan great. Still filled he tum and overall was satisfying. View all feedback.
We have been there many times know and HAVE NOT been disappointed, the flavours are spot on, the service is great, I can't say too much except just going and try it, just do it
Forget the rest and take the best. If you are in Seymour and appreciate Indian food this is the best around and within km
We were driving down the Hume Highway and decided that a curry was essential so we pulled into Seymour and drove around looking for a curry house and found Baba’s kitchen I had goat curry which was very tasty and coupled it with a garlic...nan and zeta rice and it was delicious Nice staff and byo wine , but don’t buy it at the nearby pub as it was a total rip off , for a Dan Murphy bottle !!
The atmosphere was very relaxed. The chef clearly cares about the food he presents and we felt very much at home. We had a wonderful meal and will be back!
Far from cheap and cheerful, this is a find. Baba's Kitchen is all about fabulous flavours and local produce. We had only dishes, (Butter Chicken and Lamb Saag, plus Naan and Garlic Naan) but the flavours and textures were nothing short of perfect. All...I can say is, if you're traveling on the Hume as we frequently do, time it so that you're near Seymour near dinner time and stop for a delicious, honest, not-confected or too sweet, authentically spiced, inexpensive Indian meal. You'll thank me if you do!
