Other than waiting for seating for a long time because of a solitary waiter/host, our experience was excellent. The food arrived promptly and was excellent. They had great local beers on tap to complement their creative menu. My son and I split several items that were all wonderful beet and goat cheese salad, warm bread with bmchevre cheese and raspberry jam and bacon and goat cheese fries. We were in heaven. My husband loved his burger and fries too, which his subbed ailioli with a high quality mustard that he thoroughly enjoyed. Will definitely revisit Sea Salt on our next visit to Seward.
Not a lot of places open on a Wednesday night in Seward so Seasalt it was! Came here with a party of 5 and we were seated within 10 minutes. There is indoor seating, as well as expansive outdoor deck seating. Also, a bar that would make one believe there is an expansive cocktail menu...which there is not (only premixed cocktails, beer and wine). I order the brioche bread appetizer and chowder. Portions are small, and the food is OK. It won't blow your socks off, but it will fill the belly after a long day of fishing. Overall it gets the job done, but don't expect to be amazed.
Beer and bartender were great. It stops there. Fries were swimming in grease. Great recipe. But someone can't make fries. If you can't make them then you probably can't make anything else.
My wife and I ate about 5pm on a Saturday. She had salmon and I had ribs. The entire meal was absolutely perfect. Slaw, that came with the ribs, with slivers of halapeno that was the best slaw I've ever had. Shennel was our server and was friendly andprompt.
A mixed review. Service (Sara) was excellent. Libations: were excellent. Spiced orange bourbon and pineapple sangria. Appetizer: was excellent. Sourdough/Brie/Jam Entrees: Reindeer stew and mango salsa halibut were excellent however portions were small.Fried halibut was very good but the fries (chips) were under cooked and the fish portion was small. We were unable to get anykind of bread and butter even though sourdough was available with other additives. That was disappointing. This was a $60. ppmeal for four. We still enjoyed our meal but felt shortchanged.
