The stunning landscape adds to the magical atmosphere. The service was exceptional—fast, friendly, and attentive. Orders are placed by marking choices on a card, similar to a golf scorecard. The sweet potato fries are the best I've ever had; unlike typical versions covered in sugar, these are salted, balancing sweetness perfectly without being overpowering. They also leave you feeling satisfied, not guilty like sneaking a whole plate of brownies at midnight. The only disappointment was the beer brat, which lacked flavor, and the caramelized onions were soggy—I couldn’t finish more than three bites. Judging by other dishes I saw and positive Google reviews, I should have gone with a burger. To find the place, head to the inn and keep going; you’re on the right track. Just before the last house on the right (the yellow Sommer house), take a right. The entrance is unmarked and easy to miss.

We had read it was open until 4 PM, so we went out of our way to get there by 2:10 PM, only to find a sign on the door saying it was closed for prep.

The kids shared a turkey burger on a gluten-free bun, and we really appreciated that option since one of my toddlers has a gluten sensitivity. My husband ordered the Miss Dessie burger and said it was delicious and flavorful with every bite. I had a quinoa bowl that was both tasty and affordable at just $6! We also shared a basket of crinkle fries with a side of pimento cheese, which everyone enjoyed. If you're in the area, be sure to take the detour off the main highway and stop by! The staff were also very pleasant.
