What User likes about The Pied Bull:
my favourite! I've been here for years. decent selection of three real ales plus a guest-age, always very well kept. great wine list, delicious food ( decent portions and good, without excessively pretentious) and Fab staff. I never had a bad experience here. highly recommended! View all feedback. What EmilyYum doesn't like about The Pied Bull:
I was looking forward to trying the Sunday Roast here but it was such a let down. The Yorkshire was flat, the meat overcooked, and the only veg were boiled carrots and peas, without any butter or seasoning whatsoever. There were 2 giant roasties thank goodness they were seasoned well because nothing else was. It was very basic. A real shame as the staff were lovely. View all feedback.

read moreThe Pied Bull offers a diverse dining experience that elicits mixed reactions from patrons. While many celebrate its cozy atmosphere, excellent service, and well-kept ales paired with delicious food, others express disappointment in meal quality and unexpected restrictions, such as parking limitations for larger events. Some diners highlight fantastic dishes, like exceptional fish cakes and delightful ploughman’s platters, while others recount meals marred by toughness and overcooking. Despite some negative experiences, loyal customers continue to return, drawn by its charm and consistent quality, making it a place of both cherished memories and cautionary tales.
