A traditional pub where we received a very warm welcome from the landlord and staff. Order a roast dinner which was served hot and tasty. Excellent value foe money.
I love this pub! I love the staff! Though it is so good it can get busy! I go there with my theatre group for post show drinks after performing at the STAG. Barry the landlord always makes us very welcome and he doesn't mind...our raucous singing either!
I came in here with some friends from work as part of a day out before lockdown. One friend suggested The Anchor as it was an old haunt of his and they do the best cheeseburgers. He wasn’t joking, they are AMAZING! Staff are very...friendly and prices are brilliant!

Love this pub! Always a warm welcome, Barry is just a real gem, an old school publican, so rare these days. Makes a change getting away from the chain pubs around. Barry gets some candles in to make the place a bit cosier !
