My early 10 years of my childhood were all about Morocco, Morocco, and Morocco. I lived in Settat where I studied at Le Petit Monde till class 6. I used to remember that my parents used to take me and my sister to this beautiful and serene restaurant for a feast where our tables will be filled with kebabs made from fresh minced meat, freshly baked khubz, and handpicked veggies for salad with some voluptuous black and green olives. We used to take a break here whenever we travelled in between Casablanca-Rabat and Settat. And on the Eid-ul-Adha days, we came here to eat. Now its been 11 years since I left Morocco, my heart still remains there. of all the things that I remember, I still recall the taste of kebabs and khubz from Café Les Amis. Indeed, they are my Amis!! Hopefully, one day, I can return to this place, as place where I can belong to once again!
