I ordered the Buddha bowl from... read more Samatime is a restaurant housed in a traditional wooden building that serves dishes in special seto dishes native to the region. I ordered the Buddha bowl from their lunch menu, which included a variety of delicious items for 1500 yen. The meal also came with a miso soup, which was very satisfying. Even my sister and her husband, who usually eat animal products, enjoyed their meal. I was pleased to see flyers from the Animal Rights Center Japan on display and on the tables with the menu. The restaurant converted to a fully vegan menu in June 2019. (Updated review as of July 27, 2020)

Her lunch menu was the Buddaschale ¥1500, which had ~15 different items that were each very delicious. It also came with miso soup. It was full. My sister and her husband, who generally eat animal products, were also satisfied with the food: I was very happy to see Animal Rights Center Japan flyer on the display and on the tables with the menu.
