However, there was a major problem at the... read more The waiter was very friendly, we ate on the terrace by the canal, which was very pleasant, and the food was excellent. However, there was a major problem at the end when it came time to pay. We came for a holiday using our holiday vouchers, like many people these days. They were digital versions, so online, not paper. As always, we checked on the ANCV website to see if they accepted them, and we even asked at the restaurant upon arrival to be sure. The answer was yes, no problem. Imagine our surprise when we got to the till and were told our holiday voucher payment was refused, even though the website clearly showed, with photographic evidence, that it was accepted. We simply tried to understand, but we were met with an incredibly unpleasant and condescending manager who immediately blamed ANCV. However, after checking with ANCV, the error could only have been his. At worst, we could have understood, but a kinder and more professional approach would have been much nicer. Even though we ate well, we won't come back just because of this disregard for the customer.
